Two men wanted in connection with an attempted robbery of a Dollar General store in Southport were arrested, according to Sgt. April Stanley with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
Jaquan Lamont Holland, 23, and Stephan Jackson, 18, were arrested Thursday on charges of felony attempted robbery and felony conspiracy to commit robbery, Stanley said.
Holland and Jackson are being held at the Brunswick County Detention Facility on $50,000 bond.
Brunswick deputies were called about 9 p.m. Tuesday to the store located at 1745 Southport-Supply Road after an employee reported seeing a man wearing dark clothing and a mask try to get inside, Stanley said. The doors to the store were closed and the man fled the business when the employee saw him.
