Woman robbed by man armed with a knife in her Myrtle Beach home

A Myrtle Beach woman told police a man armed with a knife threatened her and robbed her late Wednesday inside her home, according to a police report.

The 55-year-old woman told police about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday she was inside her garage with the door open and walked into her kitchen along Chesterfield Court, police said. The woman said when she turned around the man was standing behind her inside her home and put a knife against her throat and demanded money.

The woman said she only had $5 and she gave him the money, according to the report. The woman said the man took her laptop and threatened her so she told him she had more money in her car.

The man walked the woman to her car and once outside she screamed for help and the man ran away, according to the report.
