A Gaffney man told police several men on bicycles robbed him of cash and beer at knifepoint in the parking lot of an Ocean Boulevard motel, according to a police report.
The 21-year-old man told police about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday he was in the parking lot of Blake Motel at 209 N. Ocean Blvd. when six to eight men rode up to him on bicycles, police said.
The man said the cyclists pushed him to the ground, threatened him with knives and held him there while others went through is pockets, according to the report The man said the robbers took his wallet, cigarettes and a 12-pack of Bud Light from him before they fled the area.
The man ran to a nearby motel and called police after the incident. Police searched the area, but did not locate the robbers.
