Myrtle Beach police found 10 broken parking meters after woman reported a loud noise outside her home, according to a police report.
Officers were called at 4 a.m. Tuesday to the area of 14th Avenue South and Withers Lane after a woman reported hearing a loud noise and saw a man trying to remove a parking meter in front of her home, police said.
Officers found 10 broken meters in nearby bushes, but the men were not in the area, according to the report. Officers collected the meters for processing and contacted Myrtle Beach Parking about the incident.
The meters were valued at $5,000.
