A Myrtle Beach man told police he stopped a burglar from coming into his house by punching him in the face, but another burglar tried to use a taser on him during the incident, according to a police report.
The 28-year-old man told police he heard a loud noise and glass break about 2:15 a.m. Thursday in his house on Talbot Circle, police said.
The man said when he went to the kitchen he found a man, who wore a dark hat over his face, leaning inside the broken window trying to climb inside, according to the report. The man said he punched the burglar in the face several times and knocked him out of the window.
The man said another man, who stood next to the first man and wore a ski mask over his face, reached into the window with a taser and tried to use it on him, according to the report. The man said he pulled back from the window and ran to his bedroom to check on a 20-year-old woman. Another 20-year-old woman also was inside the house at the time of the incident.
