Charleston man sentenced to 25 years in prison for Georgetown incident

A Charleston man was convicted of kidnapping and robbery charges and sentenced to 25 years in prison, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Craig Geathers, 44, of Charleston was convicted of kidnapping and armed robbery charges on Wednesday in Georgetown County, according to Nancy Cote, an assistant solicitor.

Circuit Court Judge Benjamin Culbertson sentenced Geathers to 25 years in prison on the charges, Cote said. The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred on Aug. 5, 2001.

Additional details about that incident were not immediately available.
