Teens report being robbed outside Myrtle Beach hotel

Two Tennessee teens told Myrtle Beach police that a man tried to rob them outside their Ocean Boulevard hotel, according to a police report.

The men, ages 16 and 18, of Jasper, Tenn., told police they were outside the Holiday Pavilion Hotel about 11:15 p.m. Monday when a man walked up to them and demanded their valuables, police said.

One man told police he threw his wallet off the hotel balcony before the suspect could get it, but the other man told police the suspect took his cell phone, valued at $200, during the incident, according to the report.

Three other men stood nearby the suspect and all four left together, the victims told police. Officers obtained video of the suspects from a nearby security camera.
