Myrtle Beach police seized a counterfeit $100 bill after two men tried to use it to purchase various beverages at a local convenience store, according to a police report.
Police were called to the Circle K at 1101 North Kings Highway after two men tried to buy beer, juice and other beverages, police said. The clerk told the men the bill was fake and they wanted to back.
When the clerk refused, the men left the store, according to the report. Police said the bill was a $5 bill that had been washed and reprinted as a $100 bill.
