A Myrtle Beach man told police he was assaulted with a miniature baseball bat when he opened his door for a man who kicked his apartment door, according to a police report. The 47-year-old man told police the suspect kicked his door at the Aquarius III located at 301 12th Ave. , and he opened the door because he thought the suspect would break it, police said. Once the door was opened, the man said the suspect used a small novelty baseball bat and hit him in the hand, according to the report. The man said the suspect left when he said he was calling police. The man said he only knew the suspect through a friend and it was unclear what lead to the assault.
