N.C. residents report being robbed at gunpoint in Myrtle Beach

Four North Carolina residents told police they were robbed by three men outside their Ocean Boulevard hotel, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

The victims, an 18-year-old man, 17-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman all from Mathews, N.C., and a 19-year-old Charlotte man, told police they were walking to their hotel in the 1800 block of North Ocean Boulevard when the suspects approached them, police said.

The victims said the suspects asked if they wanted to smoke marijuana so the group went to their room, according to the report. At one point one of the suspects pulled out a gun, pointed it at them and demanded their belongings.

The victims reported they had cash, cell phones and other items valued at $1,260 stolen during the incident. The suspects left the room and were last seen walking on the beach.
