Adidas sets up Open with flag shoe

Adidas Golf unveiled the TOUR360 4.0 USA Flag limited-edition shoe in time for the 110th U.S. Open. It will also be worn by adidas-sponsored players at the 2010 Ryder Cup. The U.S-inspired shoe features a sleek red, white and blue color scheme and an American flag on the rear quarter of the shoe. Only 3,500 pairs will be available for retail purchase, with 300 available online at starting July 12 at a suggested retail price of $180. Staffers scheduled to debut the shoe at the U.S. Open included Sean O'Hair, Kenny Perry, Myrtle Beach resident Dustin Johnson, Jim Furyk, Fred Funk and Matt Bettencourt.The shoe combines innovations with tour-proven technologies that enhance stability and aid performance. Incorporating adidas Golf's exclusive advanced THiNTech low-profile technology, the TOUR360 4.0 brings golfers 32 percent lower to the ground than conventional cleat systems, further improving stability, balance, power and overall footwork.
