Police seek Myrtle Beach teen accused of assaulting mother, her boyfriend

Myrtle Beach police are seeking arrest warrants for a 17-year-old man accused of assaulting his mother and her boyfriend, according to a police report.

The 47-year-old woman told police her son argued with his girlfriend inside their apartment at Ocean View Towers at 7601 North Ocean Blvd., and when she went to talk to him about it he got upset at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

The woman said the teen grabbed her cell phone and broke it when she told him she was going to call police, according to the report. The woman said the teen then hit her in the head with a metal flower stand and damaged several things inside her apartment.

The woman said her 54-year-old boyfriend came in to check on them and the teen attacked him during the incident, according to the report. The woman said her boyfriend took her to the emergency room when the teen left the apartment.

Officers submitted a request for arrests warrants for the teen in the assaults, according to the report. The teen had left the scene when police arrived at the woman’s house to photograph it.
