What is the top issue in your race and how would you address it? Ensuring public access to highly skilled, proficient and friendly employees that can provide to the public correct answers.. Enhancing the use of technology within the office. Increasing case clearance performance and on-time processing as adopted by the North Carolina Supreme Court. I will provide the training for the employees, offer exceptional service with a smile and professional dress attire, enhance the use of technology and increase case clearance performance and on-time processing.

What in your experience has most prepared you for this office? Why? The clerk serves as Judge of probate and special proceeding matters. I am a certified arbitrator judge and thus uniquely qualified to fulfill this function. I work closely with all those involved in the court system including the judges, lawyers, case workers with the Department of Social Services and Juvenile Justice. I have been selected to serve on committees to improve different areas of the court system, including the performances of the clerks. How do you gauge the will of the people? My fellow attorneys, clients and the Brunswick County citizens have already informed me of their desire to receive professional, friendly and efficient service. It is their will that Clerks will be hired based on their skill and not nepotism. All dress will be professional. Policy will provide phones be answered promptly and voiced mail to receive messages that will be returned quickly. The public will have correct answers to questions, even if it means conducting research.
