Watson offers insight on DVD set
Eight-time major championship winner and World Golf Hall of Fame member Tom Watson is featured in the golf DVD series titled "Tom Watson: Lessons of a Lifetime," which will become available on April 26. The two-DVD instructional series contains 44 different lessons from Watson, starting with the grip and setup and continuing through how to control or stop slicing and hooking. It is priced at $49.95. Included is a re-enactment with instruction of Watson's magical chip-in at Pebble Beach to defeat Jack Nicklaus in the memorable 1982 U.S. Open.
Speaking about the DVD project, Watson said: "I am very humbled at the chance to give back to the fans and golfers of all levels the many lessons I have learned in my 50 years of playing this great game. Golf is much more than wins and losses, it is a special game that brings friends, families and countries together. If each person who watches these DVDs learns one thing to make the game more enjoyable, it will make me very happy."
The DVD series and a promotional TV commercial were produced and directed by Terry Jastrow, a seven-time Emmy Award-winner who also produced the successful Phil Mickelson DVD titled "Secrets of the Short Game." The DVDs will be available online at golfshoplive.com.
