Myrtle Beach resident Kohn in 12th in Olympics bobsled event

Myrtle Beach resident Mike Kohn and his USA-3 bobsled are in 12th place in the four-man bobsled after the event's first two runs on Friday.

Kohn's sled had a first run of 51.69 seconds that left his team in 15th. The sled made up three spots with a second run time of 51.42 for a combined time of 1 minute, 43.11 seconds.

Kohn is the sled's driver and his team consists of Jamie Moriarty, Bill Schuffenhauer and Nick Cunningham.

USA-1 piloted by Steve Holcomb sits in first after a two-run combined time of 1:41.75 and is .40 seconds ahead of second place.

The final two runs of the bobsled will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday.
