ECCO debuts hybrid golf shoe
Danish shoemaker ECCO announces the arrival of its men's Golf Street Premier shoe, a versatile, trend-setting hybrid sport-casual golf shoe designed specifically for wear both on and off the course. Golf Street Premier is in tune with modern men's fashion. It comes in base colors of moonless black and concrete white with funky color pops of cactus green, fanta orange and chili red, in addition to metal-rivet accents. The shoe combines style and function with full-grain distressed leather uppers, a sleek PU midsole and pre-molded traction bars that are extremely durable.
ECCO says the shoe is made using a proprietary direct-injection process that creates a one-piece construction that won't break down over time.
The Golf Street Premier comes with synthetic blend wide-flat laces in two different colors, including a contrast option for an additional dose of flavor. The shoe comes in sizes 7 through 12, has a suggested retail price of $140 and is available at www.eccousa.com.

Adidas delves into golf sunglass market
Adidas Eyewear launched in October its new 2010 men's golf-specific sunglasses, the retego. The retego features a modern, athletic style. It was designed in collaboration with PGA Tour member Justin Rose, who had input on everything from the colors to the temple width to the lens angles. The retego is made with a lens that offers clear, distortion-free views from all angles, and a tint that enhances color differences between the ball, horizon and the green.
Features include: An Rx Adapter System allowing the glasses to be fitted with optical solutions to correct impaired vision among golfers. The RX adapter system can carry an Rx lens that has been glazed by an optician and clip it in and out of the half-frame model; four versions of LST (Light Stabilizing Technology) that diminishes eye fatigue by harmonizing light fluctuations and protects eyes from UVA, B and C rays; construction with lightweight SPX material to weigh less than 1 ounce, with Flex Zones in the temples to prevent uncomfortable pressure behind the ears; and a new ventilation system located on the lug area to ensure a fog-free game.
The suggested retail of the retego is $140 for LST Contrast and LST Active lenses, and $190 for LST Polarized lenses. Colors include matte black/gray, pearl white/black, matte silver/gray, and brown/brown. Visit www.adidas.com/eyewear or call 1-800-626-8684.
