Two of S.C. First Lady Jenny Sanford's best friends are being interviewed this morning on the "CBS Early Show" about her estranged husband's affair and its fallout.
WLTX reported on its Web site Sunday that Virginia Lane and Marjory Wentworth - a former S.C. poet laureate who came to Jenny Sanford's defense in an article published last week in Vogue - are scheduled to be on the news show.
Jenny Sanford moved out of the governor's mansion on Aug. 7, six weeks after her husband, Mark Sanford, admitted to a year-long affair with an Argentine woman. Several of the first lady's friends were photographed helping with the move.
"She has very strong faith, very strong family values," Wentworth told The Associated Press in June. "There's no gray area about the things that matter to her."
"CBS Early Show" airs on cable channel 9.
