BB&T Coastal Field, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, has been rated the top ballpark in the Carolina League by Baseball America magazine.
The ballpark is being honored in the magazine's latest issue, which comes out Monday.
Several minor league officials, club personnel, architects and promoters were polled to compile the top three ballparks in each of the 10 minor leagues, with the short-season and rookie-level leagues combined into one category.
BB&T Coastal Field edged the Wilmington (Del.) Blue Rocks' Frawley Stadium and Salem (Va.) Avalanche's Memorial Stadium for the honor.

The Pelicans open the 2009 season Thursday, when they host Wilmington at 7:05 p.m.
