Q: I want to surprise my man with a boudoir shot of moi for the holidays. I've never had one taken before and need some tips from an expert! Help!
A: Make sure you get a great photographer who knows romantic lighting techniques to make your body look fabulous and the best you've ever looked. Pick up some Victoria's Secret or Agent Provocateur lingerie and get a flattering teddy. Give yourself 10 days to prepare for the shoot, and get your body in shape doing aerobics, yoga or Pilates and eat light so you will have a flat tummy. That means no alcohol or salty foods. Get a facial three or four days before the big day, so your skin will glow and pamper yourself to a manicure/pedicure one day ahead. Make sure you take a steam shower and a bubble bath the night before. To look well rested you must have eight hours of sleep. The morning of, have a full body massage, your hair done and add extensions because hair is everything. If you can, try to get a professional hair and make-up person. You'll feel like a million getting fussed over. False eyelashes, smoky eyes, big pouty lips are key. Think Brigitte Bardot!
Get fresh roses and sprinkle petals around the bed. Use luxurious, freshly ironed new white sheets like Frette, if you can. Have some champagne or wine to loosen you up. Wear your favorite sexy perfume. Remember romantic music. Seduce the camera like your man! Show lots of cleavage. Follow my advice and your photos will be amazing, your man will melt, and you'll cherish them forever.
