More shopping options soon to arrive

The Grand Strand is getting another all-in-one NASCAR store and indoor track.

Collect This & Raceway will sell NASCAR gear and offer a slot-car track next to Burlington Shoes in Colonial Mall-Myrtle Beach.

It's one of four new stores that will open in Colonial Mall by the end of the month.

Also planned:

Two Palms Home Accents will sell small furniture items, lamps, tapestries, framed art work, vases, mirrors and folding screens. The store will be located in between Books-A-Million and the ladies' Belk.

Mansour's Resort Cabana will sell women's swimwear, cover-ups, hats, sandals, dresses, evening shoes and resort wear. That store will be next to Lady Foot Locker.

Finally, Dollar Plus will open next to Coastal Carolina.

N.C. opening

Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., has a new boutique for designer clothes, denim, dresses, intimates, swimwear and accessories.

Chloe & Lola offers a variety of designers for women, including T-Bags, Hester & Lizzie, Puella, Rebecca Taylor, Ticci Cabana, Hudson Jeans, Hanky Panky, Honeydew Intimates, Ben Sherman and Maia Swimsuits.

The shop also offers the men's lines of Ben Sherman and Penguin. Chloe & Lola is open seven days a week at 925-7 Seaside Road SW in the new Piggly Wiggly shopping center.

Designer-goods scam

Consumers who've recently purchased designer goods from the Florence Flea Market, take note.

Three men were arrested Saturday and charged with distribution of counterfeit goods.

Law enforcement confiscated more than $212,000 worth of merchandise, including clothing, shoes, purses, scarves and wallets with fake labels from Coach, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lacoste, Roca Wear and Nike.

According to the Secretary of State's office, pirated DVDs and CDs were also confiscated.

Lowes Foods is encouraging teachers to get their classes involved with the Be a Smart Shopper program, which encourages students to improve their nutrition. Kelloggs is paying up to $100 to reimburse teachers for bus trips through July 2007. Kroger is holding a fundraiser through March 18 to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Customers can donate at Kroger stores by purchasing a $1 paper shamrock, $2 shamrock lapel pin or a $5 gold shamrock.

Elko Spas & Billiards, a hot tub retailer with two Grand Strand locations, was recently awarded with a 2006 No Boundaries Award by their hot tub manufacturer, Hot Spring Spas.

The store's two Grand Strand locations are at 4718 U.S. 17 Bypass S. in Myrtle Beach and at 507 North Beach Plaza in North Myrtle Beach.
