THE LOCALE | The Kilted Caddy Club and Cafe
THE LOWDOWN | Golf fans listen up: You can get your golfing and your drink on all at once at the Kilted Caddy. That's where we went for happy hour this week.
The Kilted Caddy is located at Azalea Sands Golf Course in North Myrtle Beach. The bar opens at 8 a.m. Drinking starts then too, if it hasn't already.
As you approach the club house, you'll see a large outdoor patio with chairs and tables. There's also a collection of red chairs and sofas down by the green. You'll find bar games such as darts and corn hole outside, too.
Inside there's a bar, plenty of tables and TVs. Plus there's a lounge area with leather couches and a pool table. You'll also see poster-size pics of the Kilted Caddy girls.
Yes, the bartenders wear kilts, too. And yes, the bartenders caddy, as well as a number of other caddy girls. They drive around pick golf carts and let you know anything and everything about the course.
You don't even have to golf to come enjoy the bar as it is open to the public. Ladies, you are welcome too.
Happy hour, known here as Caddy Hour, is from 4 to 7 p.m. daily. Drink specials include $2 draft beers, $3 wines and $3 liquors.
TIPS | Hop online, call the club or ask at the bar staff if you're interested in having a Kilted Caddy girl caddy your golf game.
