The Marshall Tucker Band will join the lineup of acts performing at the Carolina Country Music Fest being held in Myrtle Beach in June.

Event organizers on Wednesday announced the addition of the band, whose members are from Spartanburg, as well as a list of other “new artists and up-and-comers” from the Carolinas to join Lady Antebellum, Eric Church, Rascal Flatts and others at the three-day festival held June 5 to 7.

South Carolina artists Outshyne and Ricky Young, and North Carolina native Brian Davis will play at the festival. Organizers also announced artists Mo Pitney, Dee Jay Silver and John King had been added to the lineup.

About 35 acts are expected to perform at the festival, which will be held on the former Myrtle Beach Pavilion property between Eighth and Ninth avenues North and Kings Highway and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade.

Organizers announced last week the addition of Sam Hunt, who will headline a kick-off concert that begins at 6 p.m. June 4.

Single tickets to the kick-off event are $39, with Myrtle Beach residents being eligible for a discounted rate of $19 per ticket with identification proving their address.

Locals can purchase their tickets at Carolina Country Bar, which has been set up by event organizers in advance of the event, located at 300 Ninth Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.

Tickets for June 5 to 7 are $189 for general admission, $299 for main stage VIP tickets, and $999 for super VIP tickets. Single-day tickets are not being sold to the concerts being held June 5 to 7. Visit www.carolinacountrymusicfest.com for more information.

Other acts already lined up to perform at the festival include Colt Ford, Big & Rich, Kellie Pickler, Corey Smith, Hunter Hayes, Georgia Satellites, Brooke Eden, Rodney Atkins, David Nail, Cole Swindell, Rainey Qualley and the Davisson Brothers Band.
