Music Notes
With so much musical mayhem and merriment planned for this week and next, we thought a few note-worthy news items might be helpful. The Dead Dog Saloon in Murrells Inlet, leveled by fire in March, re-opened Wednesday, a full six weeks ahead of some earlier projections. Tru Sol and The Necessary Band take honors as the first to perform on the new bigger, better stage with state-of-the-art in-house sound production. Meanwhile, the first-ever Eason reunion show is scheduled for this evening on the main stage at Celebrity Square Broadway at the Beach. And Charleston’s roots-rock act, Blue Dogs, is celebrating 25 years as a fulltime rock ‘n’ roll outfit with a show at NOSH in Pawleys Island on May 26, and we caught up with local shredder Steve Senes who packed his bags and his licks for sunny Florida.
