SUPPORTING THE HOME TEAM
Away from home with no one to help you root for your home team? Odds are you are not alone.
With so many transplants moving to the Grand Strand from other NFL cities, there's a good chance you can find fans of the same feather at some of the many watering holes in the area.
Although Steelers fans may make up the majority, there are wayward fans off all kinds that gather at different establishment on gameday, such as the Cleveland Browns Backers at Drifter's Saloon, the Philadelphia Eagles fans who flock to The Clubhouse or the Washington Redskins Nation that descends upon Bumstead's Pub at Dagwood's Deli, just to name a few.
But not all fans use this list to look for friends; some use it to heckle good-natured enemies. Dallas fan Smoke Hunter often sports his Cowboys jersey and goes to the home bar of that weekend's opponent just so he can rub the foes' noses in it. Of course, he's also been known to sneak out the back door whenever the Cowboys crumble in the fourth quarter.
And for those who just like to be a part of all the action, every sports bar welcomes fans of all kinds. It only adds to the excitement of a Sunday when all the NFL colors are represented.
Here's a sampling of where the fans are on any given Sunday.
