Former Coastal Carolina and Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman received a bizarre penalty Sunday that resulted in his ejection from a game against the Cleveland Browns.
Norman, now with the Washington Redskins, intercepted a pass from Browns quarterback Cody Kessler that basically sealed the win for the Redskins. Upon reaching the sidelines, Norman made a, according to the referee, “shooting a bow-and-arrow” motion toward the stands that was considered unsportsmanlike conduct.
Celebrations on the sideline are rarely called in the NFL, which is increasingly being called the No Fun League for its crackdown on player expressions.
