The Seahawks simply took care of business Friday night.
Tyler Keane threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns and the Myrtle Beach defense pitched a shutout in a 55-0 win over North Myrtle Beach in both teams’ regular-season finale.
“The biggest thing we wanted to do is we wanted to put together a complete game – offensively, defensively and on special teams,” Seahawks coach Mickey Wilson said. “I felt like we did that tonight. But we still need to get better. I’m just proud to finis the season 9-1 heading into the playoffs.
Keane finished 22-of-29 with passing scores to C.J. Cooper, who had eight catches for 59 yards, and Sean Michael Orcutt, who had three catches for 65 yards and a pair of TDs.
Brandon Sinclair ran for 21 yards and a touchdown as the Seahawks had a solid effort as they prepare for the playoffs, which begin next week.
“We came out focused tonight,” Wilson said. “We played well, especially early on. That’s something we talked about doing during the week.”
Wilson said second-seeded Myrtle Beach is slated to take on either Manning or Marlboro County, both teams of which the Seahawks would “have our hands full with out of the gate.”
