Continuing its dominance, the Waccamaw boys and girls cross country teams swept their way to region titles on Tuesday at Stables Park.
In the boys competition, the Warriors finished with each of the top eight spots, led by sophomores Perrin Jones and Berndt Anderson. Teammates Robert Buffington, Bennett STover, Weston Stokes, Jonah Stump, Jack Moody and Patrick Lanford were not far behind.
Senior Dustin Squires finished ninth, helping propel Aynor to a second place finish. Georgetown placed third at the meet, while Loris wound up in fourth.

Though not a clean sweep like their male counterparts, the Waccamaw girls team was also dominant, its low score of 20 far ahead of the rest of its competition in Region VI-3A.
Annabelle Scully, Lillian Eddy, Ella Fata swept the top three spots at the event, with Samantha Kelley and Briley Arnold also earning top 10 finishes.
The Aynor girls team finished second at the meet, followed by Georgetown and Loris.
Carolina Academy 5, Christian Academy 4
Carolina Academy’s Hannah Weaver and Grace Weaver defeated Tatiana Harrelson and Sam Fanning 8-5 to win the match and advance to SCISA Class 2A semifinals.
The Bobcats had to all three doubles match after trailing 4-2 after singles.

Myrtle Beach claimed at least a tie for the Region VII-4A crown Wednesday night, sweeping past Marlboro County, 3-0 (25-8, 25-16, 25-11).
Lexie Watts led the way with 11 digs, 10 service points and two aces, while Darby Sheets had seven kills, seven service points and four aces. Gracie Davis added seven kills, wih Cassie Runyon supplying five of her own along with two blocks.
Danni Hix had 17 assists, while Natalie Benkandil offered 11.
The Seahawks will host North Myrtle Beach on Thursday, seeking to win the league title outright.
