Founders Group International is supporting the 2016 Rounds 4 Research auction by donating rounds on all of its 22 managed courses on the Grand Strand, including Pawleys Plantation, Grande Dunes Resort Course and TPC Myrtle Beach.
The Rounds 4 Research program, which offers golfers the opportunity to bid on tee times in support of industry research, will be open through April 10 at www.biddingforgood.com/eifg.
More than 700 rounds of golf are available, with each round for two or four players, at courses in 36 states plus Canada, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica and Switzerland. Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville and Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island are among the courses donating rounds.
Rounds 4 Research is a venture of the Environmental Institute for Golf (EIFG), the philanthropic arm of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).
Never miss a local story.
Funds generated from the auction will support GCSAA research-related activities, its affiliated chapters and regional turfgrass organizations. Since launching nationally in 2012, Rounds 4 Research has raised more than $400,000 for turfgrass research, education and advocacy programs. The 2015 auctions raised $112,500.
Other management companies that have joined the effort include Marriott Golf, the TPC network of courses and Billy Casper Golf.
