Slicer Solutions: Spin Axis
To get the ball to curve left (draw or hook) you need to understand that a golf ball spins backwards, it never spins sideways. What it does do is the axis of the spin tilts left and right kind of like a plane. If the right wing goes down and the left wing goes up the plane will curve right. If the right wing goes up and the left wing goes down the plane will curve left. That is the way golf balls curve. The spin axis of the ball determines how it will curve and an in-to-out swing path will help the spin axis of the golf ball tilt left.
