In Saturday’s issue of The Sun News a story appeared about the ordeal that a U.S. Marine Corps veteran is facing because of the recent flooding in Richland County. This veteran’s home was ruined and she has four teenage children. Another veteran was also affected who is retired and served in Vietnam.
Both veterans escaped with the clothes on their backs, losing everything that must now be replaced. A “Flood Relief Fund” has been set up for both Marines. Donations may be sent to:
Charles Hardy, Department of S.C. Paymaster, Marine Corps League, 120 Sheath Drive, Columbia, SC 29212-2211.
Checks may be made out to ‘'Dept. of South Carolina-MCL” with Flood Relief in the memo line. All donations are tax deductible.
