Support emergency services in Murrells Inlet and Garden City Beach
It’s important to pass the March 17 Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire District referendum to maintain and improve upon our outstanding fire and EMS services and to enjoy the lowest fire insurance rates possible.
This would help facilitate the constructing, equipping and manning of a new fire station to better serve the rapidly growing Burgess community and improve the increasing need for back-up coverage district-wide.
I know from first-hand experience that fires can double in size every minute. In many medical emergencies, care by paramedics can make all the difference if they can get there in under 5 minutes.
Passage of the March 17 referendum addresses these facts.
I’m voting yes. It makes good sense to me as a small investment in my family’s well-being and in the much greater reduction in homeowners and business insurance premiums.
I hope my neighbors will do the same.
