Re: April 7 letter from Judith Cole, “Why isn’t newspaper tackling real issues”

I think The Sun news does a pretty good job presenting both sides of an issue.

The Myrtle Beach area is not what you'd call a major city. I came from the DC area where we had two papers, one distinctly conservative, and the other very liberal. We don't have that option here.

You can read Leonard Pitts and/or Charles Krauthammer in The Sun News, just to name a couple with different views.

Judith Cole seems to think all is OK in America and people with different views shouldn't be heard, I strongly disagree. I've read letters to the editor that were both pro conservative, and anti conservative, and I'm open minded enough to have and form my own opinions.

As a matter of fact, I'd like to read more letters from the liberals, I think they must have thrown up their arms in disgust.

I would suggest Judith Cole look elsewhere for a broader view of what's going on in the area and the world. She may want to view ABC, NBC and

CBS. I don't think from the tone of her letter she'd appreciate Fox News, where it's “fair and balanced.”

The writer lives in Conway.
