Letter | Limbaugh brothers cut from same cloth

There are times when the utter hypocrisy of some on the right is beyond stunning.

There are times when the utter hypocrisy of some on the right is beyond stunning.

David Limbaugh’s' column in the March 19 edition of The Sun News is a great example. He writes that “leftists are about not compassion or treating people with sensitivity and respect, but control and bullying, all with an arrogant, mean-spirited air of superiority. “

He just described himself and his brother Rush. Let’s recall a few of Rush's “high” lights. He called a then 12-year-old Chelsea Clinton, “a dog.” He said Donovan McNabb only started at quarterback for the Eagles, “because he was black” and that law student, Sandra Fluke was, “a slut and a prostitute,” for accepting contraceptive services.

Sounds like a lot of compassion sensitivity and respect there. Would either Limbaugh brother be seen as bullying , arrogant or with a mean-spirited air of superiority? From reading David Limbaugh the past three months, it seems these two are cut from the same cloth and have about as much credibility as most of what appears on “faux” news.

The writer lives in North Myrtle Beach.
