Re: Feb. 20 letter from Roy E. Young, “Voters should realize harm by party”
It seems to me that most Democrats and liberals see our country with rose-colored glasses. Why do they see and play the race card every chance they get?
Obama’s dismal approval rating of 43 percent is allegedly due to racism and the Republican propaganda machine. I guess we are expected to believe it has nothing to do with the fact that he was and is woefully unqualified for the job and he surrounded himself with like-minded advisors.
Reference is made to a Republican propaganda machine (FOX News, Koch Bros.) as if the Democrats have no propaganda machine of their own. What about CNN and the mainstream media? Koch Bothers? How about Soros and the Hollywood “elites?”
Obama has had five years at the helm, yet after all of the spending, his policies have achieved little benefit for our economy and employment conditions. I understand that liberals believe it is the Republicans’ and Bush’s fault and has nothing to do with incompetence. However, lest we forget, his crowning achievement is the signature health care bill (Obamacare) that was rammed through Congress with the brilliant observation that “You have to pass it in order to find out what is in it”. Fact is, without the big lie, it probably would not be law today.
How many people really understand the consequences of trillion dollar deficits and sky high debt? The U.S. dollar, which is the world’s reserve currency, will come to an end as a result. Does the average citizen have any idea how severe the crisis will be when this comes to pass?
I could go on, but the point here is for Democrats to take off their “liberal” colored glasses and attempt to understand a different point of view.
