71.

There was never a doubt in the game outcome starting at halftime. GGGGooo CCU Women’s Basketball. Win it all.

But that is not why I am writing this letter, the HTC Center, the home of Coastal basketball and student center, is beautiful, friendly, striking from the outside, and warmly exciting from courtside. The HTC Center is safe, bright and cheery, well-policed, easy to access with a convenient bus system, and prices are reasonable for the value received.

Children can run and play, stand and cheer, bathrooms are convenient and well marked, and concessions are reasonable. And for those who know Mike Chestnut of Big Mike’s Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, he is serving food upstairs in the VIP lounge, his own unique, tasty Southern cooking.

My cost for the middle range tournament seating was $75.00 and seats were plentiful. I quickly reminisced being back at my alma mater, West Virginia University, and slid back into the college game mode, exciting, enjoyed cheering for CCU. I to the games and be with friends and family.

The Big South Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournament runs through Sunday, with alternating days for men and women. It’s a good way to spend unseasonably cold early March days.

Championship games are on Sunday.

The writer lives in Myrtle Beach.
