Re: July 30 letter from Kathy Devine: “A little help would go long way in saving strays”
I am not a cat person. However, I am an advocate for innocent children and animals. Neither can speak up about mistreatment.
I am so happy that that litter of kittens was blessed to be saved by humans who have hearts. The thing that really bothered me was the fact that the animal groomer did not find out who the kittens were going to be sold to and call animal control and the police to report the idiot who was going to use them as bait, and also the heartless person who would knowingly take money, knowing the kittens were going to be violently slaughtered by a pitbull.
I would certainly hope that the police would be allowed to arrest both of them -- if not, the laws need to be changed. Oh, wait a minute, they do need to be changed. There are parents that need to be prosecuted for leaving children and animals in boiling hot cars, for abusing pets and children. Who doesn't know that children and animals have no way of helping themselves in these situations?
Never miss a local story.
Some people have joined the animal kingdom, they are killing and eating their own. God is wonderful and all powerful -- but he has to be frustrated with all the travesties in our world today. Who would blame him for the Rapture coming soon. I'm ready, are you?
