A little help would go
long way in saving animals
We just moved here and love living here. The weather is perfect and the people are all great.
Never miss a local story.
I do have a concern though, the throwaway animals. I was talking to a young lady that is an animal groomer and she was telling me about a litter of 8 kittens that the owner was going to sell to the neighbors up the street to use as bait for pit bull fighting.
This wonderful young lady took all of the kittens and is finding homes for them. She also is rounding up the adult cats and having them spayed or neutered through Sav-R-Cats. This made me wonder, just how many (as I call them) throwaway animals are there in the area? I gave a donation to Sav-R-Cats but thought, what else I can do, so here is my suggestion.
I am making a plea to all of the churches in the area from the North end to the South end to have a love offering one Sunday a month and donate the money to an animal organization of their choice. If each church only collected and donated $10 per month imagine how many of those poor little kittens and how many of the innocent puppies being thrown into trash dumps to be crushed or being tied up in bags with rocks and being thrown into rivers or lakes to drown a horrible slow death could be saved.
I do not know how many churches there are in the area but if there are 100 that would commit to one Sunday a month at just $10 a month that would be $1,000 to save Gods little innocent creatures that have not asked to be born.
To everyone else reading this, Please support an animal group of your choice with a donation.
