I hope people will read this with an open mind and think about what I read and really think about it, as I did.
The headline on the May 16 front page of The Sun News was “Obama fires IRS leader.” Steven Miller was a scapegoat. I feel President Obama should have defended him.
Mr. Miller has only been acting director since November. As stated, most of the alleged wrongdoing occurred well before Miller took over as acting chief, when the agency was run by Commissioner Doug Shulman, who was appointed by President George W. Do folks understand this?
Once again, President Obama is taking the blame for something that happened when George W. was in office, and yet Republicans welcomed that Miller was fired! Why didn’t they do something about Doug Shulman? Because he was a Republican.
Republicans only want to blame Democrats and Democrats only want to blame Republicans! There is no common sense in Washington, D.C. Apparently when you cross the threshhold of the Congress building they put you into a room where they remove all of your morals, your responsibilities for your constituents, your common sense, all of your empathy for humanity and your ability to see things as they really are and the ability to tell the truth.
God help us all.
