My brother was down from Virginia last week and spent the week traveling around Myrtle Beach.
They went down to Huntington Beach and toured the Atalaya historical building and took a long walk on the beach. They were gone about two hours and when they got back to their vehicle, they noticed a paper chip bag attached to the door handle with a wallet in the bag. It was my brother’s.
He had put his wallet on the seat between his legs when he paid the entrance fee so as not to hold anyone up behind him and it fell on the ground when he got out of his vehicle. He always carries a lot of money with him when he travels and had $1,600 and credit cards and everything was in his wallet.
There was no note of any kind, so he was unable to thank anyone or offer some reward. He told me there are some very honest people in Myrtle Beach and was so impressed with their good deed.
Never miss a local story.
