While I like living in Myrtle Beach I have a few issues with the thinking of the items printed in this paper, some folks’ ideals, and the mentality of the powers that be for the excuse for not taxing trailers.
1. The cartoon printed in the May 9 paper about Jesus and homosexuals was not only disgusting but very offensive!
2. Sanford, I think, was a good governor but a poor excuse for a man of honor, with no shame or care for his office nor the embarrassment he caused his family. No morals but a lot of nerve, yet the people of supposedly high morals re-elected him?
3. Excusing trailer users from paying a tax because they are earning a living? By the same token do not the persons who service most homes – the electrician, plumber, etc. driving their trucks – and the people who drive their cars to work deserve the same consideration?
Never miss a local story.
