Letter | Super-rich trying to take over the nation

Dictatorship: A government or country in which absolute power is held by a dictator or a small clique.

Dictatorship: A government or country in which absolute power is held by a dictator or a small clique.

The Supreme Court during the Bush administration eased laws on giving money to politicians, making it easier to give lots of money to help a candidate without reporting who you are.

The super-rich hire lobbyists to give money to politicians to vote for the laws the super-rich want so they can make more money. What they want is to make the tax burden shifted to the poor.

They do this by striking down programs that help the poor so they can get a bigger tax break. By doing this they bypass the will of the many and thus create a dictatorship.

A friend of my enemy is an enemy of mine.

The writer lives in Myrtle Beach.
