How about same-sex common law marriage?

The No. 1 issue making headlines these days – same-sex marriage – is a condition that has been in existence for years and will be for many more. Why should anyone be made aware of these folks sexual preferences?

If I’m not mistaken there are some states that recognize common law marriage. Why not make it the norm throughout the country and include same-sex couples. They would then have the best of both worlds: go or stay no holds barred and we would be free of their constant whining about rights. If income tax filling is in question, “head of household” would apply and all other inclinations could be covered with legal documents. It would illuminate the cost of divorce that traditional marriages have to endure.

Most couples today are opting for just living together anyway, so join the crowd. This country’s values are on a down slide and the media doesn’t help matters by day after day reporting on this issue and leaving the important news in the dust. I would hope there are more than a few who cherish and follow their religious and moral teaching and put this country back on top as a leader in all things right and good.
