I find very few issues where I would agree with Sen. Rand Paul but I applaud his efforts to stop the appointment of John Brennan to be head of the CIA and to end America’s use of drones to murder innocent citizens around the world, murders done in the name of fighting terrorism without ever being required to justify the deaths of those being killed.
Foreign organizations are now collecting the names and backgrounds of the thousands killed by our drones, and perhaps soon the whole world will be able to see whether these drones have killed any significant numbers of al-Qaida terrorists or whether the vast majority of the victims have been innocent civilians in the wrong place at the wrong time.
One thing we are certain about is that American drones which the CIA operates as if they are only part of a giant video game have definitely murdered (the word is murdered and not killed) at least 176 school age children in Pakistan, and the count by some international organizations says at least 300 school age children have been murdered by America’s drones. Ask yourself if America isn’t every bit as guilty as Adam Lanza was at Sandy Hook Elementary. Maybe much more because we let these killings go on and on and on and do absolutely nothing to stop them.
And when America sends these Drones loaded with bombs to kill, and the result is the death of innocent civilians, I would suspect that innocent people in that area are totally terrorized. And, in their mind, America has become the nation of terrorists. Has it become the goal of America’s War on Terror that America becomes the terrorist? I hope not!
Never miss a local story.
The real question is when will one of these nations like Yemen or Mali or Pakistan and God only knows what others actually develop their own drone or similar delivery system and manage to strike the United States. God has told us that “As we sow, so shall we reap.” We best be prepared because the tragedy is most likely coming to America unless our leaders do something to immediately stop the murders.
