I went to the Saint Patrick’s Day event in Myrtle Beach on March 16. The city of Myrtle Beach advertised a “Kid Zone” so I brought both my nephews.
Shame on you, Mayor Rhodes and the city of Myrtle Beach! A dollar for a slide down a blow-up slide, and other blow-up rides were as high as $2.
This is how locals are treated? You charge our children to partake in city events? Is your penny tax not enough?
I saw unhappy parents and unhappy children because some parents could not afford to let their children slide down the slide or other blow-up rides. I left that event feeling scammed, disgusted and felt like your true intentions were right there: greed.
Never miss a local story.
I guess paying local taxes is not enough, and our children are paying that price.
Next time advertise the truth: “Kid Zone” for a fee.
