Whoever decided that that the intersections of U.S. 17 and S.C. 707 and the overpass at Aynor were more important than an overpass at U.S. 501 and Carolina Forest Boulevard should come forward. Soon there will be new leadership in Horry County and I believe that a fix at that intersection should be the top priority.
We are still in the offseason, but the traffic at that intersection is atrocious and backs up U.S. 501 in both directions every day. This type of traffic could easily deter tourists from returning to Myrtle Beach. I hope that I am not the only one who considers this a top priority for the incoming Horry County Council chairman.
