Re March 17 column by Issac Bailey, “Iraq: The media’s shame,” and March 17 article, “Bill could muzzle doctors on gun talks with patients”
Issac Bailey could be more positive. America may have mucked up the weapons of mass destruction thing, but now the question is what do we do now? Not how did we get here. Look ahead, not back.
Rep. Joshua Putnam wants to stick his beak into the privacy of doctor patient conversation, making it illegal to discuss gun safety with one’s own health care provider? What? Who hired this guy? It’s the doctor’s job to keep his patients healthy. It would seem helping them avoid a gunshot wound may do just that.
Respectfully, Rep. Putnam, get back to work! There are so many pressing issues we need to deal with. More government intervention is not one.
Respectfully, Issac Bailey, if you have some useful suggestions, let’s hear them. God knows our legislators need guidance.
