The editorial board of The Sun News was right on in their defense of “Welcome to Myrtle Manor.”
In the second paragraph of their editorial, they wrote that it was a poor portrayal of Myrtle Beach and the show is simply poor television.
My sentiments exactly!
After 25 minutes of boredom, I turned off the TV and went to bed. The words of my former husband came to my mind as his favorite statement is: “Call me an SOB, but spell my name right.” The show did spell “Myrtle” right! Another favorite expression, espoused by my wonderful, now deceased, mother-in-law was: “Everybody to their own notion, said the old woman, who kissed a cow.”
Never miss a local story.
Now, how do I go about finding a cow to kiss next Sunday? Looking at this inane drivel again is not an option.
