Speak up for babies who can’t speak

Everyone agrees that life ends when the heart stops beating. So when does life begin? The heart is a gift of life from God, and life begins when the heart starts to beat. It is not only an organ that pumps sustaining blood needed for life, but it is also the spiritual center where God lives within us. God says in Jeremiah 24:7, “I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord.”

The gift of Jesus by God to man is the most precious gift that we could ever receive, and it begins in this precious little heart that starts beating at conception.

Doctors have at their disposal a new blood test that will show if the mother is pregnant, the gender of the baby, and if potential fetal conditions such as Down Syndrome exist at 10 weeks. God says that before we are born, he has already planned our days. Who are we to thwart God’s plans for this child? God planned this life, and it should not be done away with unless there are dire circumstances to justify an abortion.

Dr. George Tiller, the Kansas doctor murdered in 2009, did late-term abortions for any reason, including something as insignificant as anxiety, for a fee of $5,000. He would drill a hole in a baby’s skull any time up to birth. Most of these babies were fully formed and just needed time for their lungs and organs to finish developing so they could be held in someone’s loving arms.

Please speak for these precious babies who cannot speak for themselves.

The writer lives in Myrtle Beach.
