The hypocrisy of the left

Surely I cannot be the only one who has observed how the left reacts when caught in a corner. Invariably, they seem to metamorphose the argument into something brand new, and usually with less relevance. Think back; we used to have something called health insurance; this was an insurance product very similar to all other types of insurance, with premiums based on risk, deductibles, exclusions, etc. In many cases, employers paid a large part of the premiums, as this was part of an employee’s compensation package. The left saw to it that health insurance morphed into health care. The only similarity between the two is the word health; as insurance and care are not synonyms.

Here’s another example for you to ponder: How did we go from global warming to climate change? Some of you may have forgotten already, but remember the researchers at East Anglia, the place where scientists falsified their research data in order to advance their agenda? Many of us remember, they got ratted out and right after the left changed the argument to climate change. Global warming implies climate change in one direction only, warming. But climate change is all encompassing. Just think, you freeze in the south, climate change, you have suffocating heat in the north, climate change. And yes, you, Homo sapiens are to blame, so go sit in the corner.

The latest is gun control, which very quickly morphed into gun violence. So convenient, this way they do not have to deal with the Constitution, you know, that Second Amendment that seems to irritate the left. If they really wanted to deal with gun violence, they would figure out a way to stop the killing of over 750 people per year in Los Angeles, or the 700 per year in Chicago, or the near 700 per year in New York City. All three of these cities have very strict gun laws. I personally do not own a gun, do not plan to own a gun, but I do respect those who chose to exercise their Second Amendment right. So you gun owners out there, do not let the left change the argument from gun control to gun violence.

There are other examples, but I think these three illustrate how the left continually changes the argument in order to win the day. I always found it difficult to deal with a hypocrite. And I just had to add, speaking of hypocrites, did you see Al Gore’s sale of his failing TV network? Mr. Global Warming himself took a big fat check from Al-Jazeera, a TV network owned by the government of Qatar. Yes the same Qatar that produces 1.4 million barrels of oil per day.
