Insurance board helping business, not residents

After paying for several years for long term care for my husband and me, we received a letter from John Hancock Insurance telling us that our premium was going up 90 percent with the approval of our S.C. Department of Insurance, but without the chance of fighting this absurd increase from them or the state. We live on a retirement budget like most seniors.

The government of South Carolina, governor and the businesses of South Carolina like Hancock are raping the citizens/taxpayers/voters with the assistance of our state government. Thanks, governor, representatives, senators, the Department of Insurance that approved this increase, and Hancock Insurance! We’ll remember you all come next election.
